Hello Kathleen! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! Great news...you've got an excellent strategy in the works for your upcoming vacation! A few days of traversing the Disney Parks requires a day of rest! There is no better place to put up your feet than at your
Disney Resort Hotel! In fact, I always set aside one day of our vacation to sit by the resort pool! We enjoy that day as much as any of the other activities that we plan. It is a hard earned day of eating, drinking, napping, swimming, and snacking on Mickey Ice Cream Bars!
There is no need to use your Disney Park tickets consecutively. You are absolutely welcome to set aside a day of relaxation for your family. The most important planning tip to remember regarding your theme park tickets is to make your park reservations by using the
Disney Park Pass System. You need to pick which parks you want to visit on which days. Once you have that plan, be sure to make your reservations.
Kathleen, you're visiting at such a great time of the year!
Nobody does the holidays better than the Walt Disney World Resort! The hotels and resorts look perfect for the holidays! Make sure you have your camera ready because you will want your family to pose for pictures at every holiday decoration! If your family really enjoys the holidays, then I recommend a visit to EPCOT for the International Festival of the Holidays. Here you will be able to enjoy the merriment of the food and music that make the holidays so special for everyone!
I also recommend a visit to the Christmas Tree display at
Disney Springs. This has become a favorite for our family! We love seeing the trees decorated in the themes of Disney movies and characters! It's a great display that will put your family in the holiday spirit!
Finally, Kathleen, if you haven't already done so, be sure to checkout the
Magic is Here special offer currently available to Guests. Even if you already booked your vacation package, you can call to inquire if the deal can be applied to your pre-existing package! We have done this (successfully) several times over the years! It always feels good to save some money when planning a vacation! Have a magical visit this holiday season!
