    Hey there, Cathy!
Welcome to planDisney! It’s so wonderful to have you here!

Resort hopping is one of my favorite ways to explore the magic of Walt Disney World. It’s such a fun way to soak in the unique beauty of the resorts, experience the complimentary transportation options, and discover hidden gems throughout the property.

If you’re staying off-property, I recommend starting your adventure by driving to Disney Springs, where you can park for free. From there, hop on a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you’re staying on-property, just take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, then transfer to a bus headed to the Lodge. Once you arrive, don’t miss walking through the stunning lobby and heading out to the savanna overlook, where you’ll see giraffes, zebras, and other incredible wildlife up close!

Next, take a bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and then board the Disney Skyliner for a ride to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. This resort is a celebration of Disney’s animated classics, with themed areas for The Lion King, Cars, The Little Mermaid, and Finding Nemo. Be sure to check out the larger-than-life Lightning McQueen and Mater photo ops in the Radiator Springs section, which is perfect for a quick snapshot!

To wrap up your day, head to the Monorail loop to visit Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From Art of Animation, take a bus to Magic Kingdom, then hop on the Monorail from there. Arriving at one of these resorts around the time of the Happily Ever After fireworks show is a perfect way to end your day with a magical view!

planDisney Pro Tip: While resort hopping, consider enjoying a meal or snack at each stop. Savor Zebra Domes at Animal Kingdom Lodge, indulge in a Dole Whip at Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian, or grab a cupcake at the Grand Floridian’s Gasparilla Island Grill. And don’t forget to stay hydrated and pack your patience as you navigate between buses, Skyliners, and monorails!

This itinerary is sure to give you a full day of magical sightseeing and unforgettable experiences. Have the best time resort hopping, Cathy! Let us know if you need more tips or recommendations.

    Happy exploring!

    Toodles,
