We will be spending the days after Christmas at Disney and plan to be at Animal Kingdom on New Year's Eve. Do all parks have fireworks? If not, what are your suggestions to see NYE fireworks?

Hi, Jennifer! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s so great to see you here!

I don’t think there is a better place to kick-off a New Year than at Walt Disney World Resort! Surrounded by all that Pixie Dust and magic is a great place to get a fresh start! Although Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is always a “wild” place to be- especially with the newest addition of Pandora - The World of Avatar, there aren’t any New Year’s Eve countdowns or firework displays at this Disney Theme Park and it closes at 9:00 PM on December 31st, 2017. My suggestion would be to stay at the same Disney Theme Park all day, if you intend on watching the fireworks display, as this is a busy day and the Disney Theme Park might reach capacity. A few places to be are:  Magic Kingdom Park for Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks, taking place on December 30 and December 31, 2017 starting at 11:50 PM, or Epcot ‘s New Year’s Eve celebration—starting at 11:40 PM, only on December 31, 2017! Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there is a DJ dance party starting at 7:00 PM, followed by a performance of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at 9:00 PM. Then, after a park-wide midnight countdown to the new year, stick around for a special presentation of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular— followed by more dancing with a DJ spinning your favorite jams until 1:00AM!

I hope this helps you plan your New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World Resort and please come and see us again soon! Happy New Year!
