Hi there, Deborah, and welcome back to planDisney!
Spending all day at EPCOT sounds absolutely lovely, especially during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. You are mere weeks away from immersing yourself in a myriad of cultures, art, and thrills. Let’s get into how you can hop from one of my favorite theme parks to the iconic
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The buses from EPCOT to Disney’s Contemporary Resort mostly run when the Walt Disney World Monorail System is not operating. So, the buses do not run as often as the Monorail does.
My recommendation is that about 30-45 minutes before your dinner reservation, make your way toward the Monorail station at EPCOT’s front entrance. Take the Monorail to the
Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). From there, take the Resort Monorail to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It will be the fourth stop (after Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Magic Kingdom Park). Mickey Mouse and his friends await you at Chef Mickey’s. Don’t forget the Disney PhotoPass opportunity with Chef Minnie herself!
The return trip should take even less travel time because the TTC is the first stop from Disney’s Contemporary Resort. What’s cool about this trip is that you go through the significantly shorter security queue at the Resort hotel and will get to bypass security when you arrive at EPCOT.
AN EXTRA GEM: The quickest way to and from each destination is to either drive or use a rideshare option like the
Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. While this is not complimentary like taking the bus or Disney Monorail, it takes very little time to get from one place to the next when using the roadways.
If you have additional questions about your upcoming vacation (it’ll be here soon—eek!), revisit us here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
