We are spending day at AK w 4yob & 6 yog and plan to go see Chip & Dale campfire that evening. Would you recommend eating at Yak and Yeti bf we leave park or Trail's End? WE are staying at WL so Whispering Canyon is an option also?

Hi Heidi!  I would suggest the great buffet at Trails End as a start to your Fort Wilderness evening.  They have some of the best fried chicken and barbecue on property as well as super salad bar, cornbread, and of course ice cream with all the toppings!  It is a relaxed setting and it allows you to spend as little or as much time as you prefer according to the children's attention span.  Fort Wilderness is a nice place to explore and walk around. Give yourself time to walk to the stables to see the calliope and wave at many of the big horses you see in the Magic Kingdom and parades. Cinderella's ponies are housed outside and visible to all too.

If you arrive early you can include a 30 minute carriage or har ride which starts right outside of Trails End. Just call reservations and book one as this gives you the opportunity to see some of the areas and loops of this resort.

The campfire is such a fun evening. Save room for smores and you can purchase the ingredients right there at the location. If you aren't too tired stay for the movie under the stars.  This is such a convenient location to the Wilderness Lodge and only a short boat ride takes you home!
