Hello! Spending my birthday (12/2) with dinner @ Minnie's Holiday & Dine in HS. Considering ordering a cake or is the dessert selection enough? What are their typical desserts? It's going to be just my DH, DS, DD and me.

    Hello Aundrea,

On behalf of a fellow December baby, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!

I’m seriously bummed that I likely won’t get to experience the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort this year because I would love to eat at Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It sounds like it’s going to be a really fun feast! Although the selection is always subject to change and is likely to be enhanced for the Holiday season, dessert at the “regular” dinner buffet at Hollywood & Vine often includes things such as hot cobblers, soft serve ice cream, and other assorted cakes, pies and pastries.

But, much as it pains me to admit it, while I’ve certainly appreciated the times I’ve had a cake that was ordered for me at my Walt Disney World dining experiences on my birthday, I’ve found that it’s WAY too much food, especially for my small family. I therefore wouldn’t recommend ordering a cake but saving that money on a splurge for yourself in one of the boutiques such as my favourite one in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Keystone Clothiers!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any more questions about your upcoming birthday visit… and happy birthday in advance!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
