    I am going to spend New Year’s eve this December at the Polynesian resort. Wanted to receive 2020 in the Mickey backyard BBQ. I found out that is no longer available. I want a fun event for the family but not in the parks and not too expensive. Any ideas?

     Your stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to celebrate the New Year sounds practically perfect in every way. What a magical way to ring in 2020! 

     Unfortunately, Mickey's Backyard BBQ is no longer offered, but there are lots of special ways to welcome the New Year with your family. Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is super fun with a Hawaiian-style feast and incredible entertainment. Since this unique dining experience is located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, it will certainly be easy to get to! Another fantastic dinner show is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. It's a rootin' tootin' good time! If you're looking for a Character Dining Experience, I recommend making a reservation at Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort. This restaurant is perfect for celebrations of every kind! While not a dinner show or a Character Dining Experience, 'Ohana serves up an all-you-care-to-enjoy Polynesian-inspired feast with windows overlooking Magic Kingdom Park. You may be able to see the fireworks above Cinderella Castle from the comfort of your table!

     Reservations for any of these dining experiences can be made online or by calling the Dining line at (407) (407) 939-1947. For the best availability, I recommend making your dining reservations as soon as possible.
