Hi Marcelo!
Spending Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort is truly magical! If you're looking for that festive, unique, and incredibly immersive holiday experience, EPCOT is a wonderful choice for Christmas Eve.
During the holiday season,
EPCOT transforms into a celebration of traditions from around the world with the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This festival is truly special, offering you the chance to explore each country in World Showcase and learn how they celebrate the season. From the holiday kitchens where you can sample seasonal treats and beverages, to the Holiday Storytellers sharing traditional tales and customs from their homelands, there’s something inspiring at every turn. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the diversity of holiday traditions as a family, learning together while enjoying delicious holiday flavors.
One of my personal favorites during this time is the Candlelight Processional—a beloved EPCOT tradition featuring a celebrity narrator, a full choir, and a live orchestra that come together for a moving retelling of the Christmas story. I recommend trying to book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package, which guarantees you a seat for the performance and lets you enjoy a hearty meal at one of the restaurant choices offered with this package. I find that capping off the evening with this moving show is the perfect way to embrace the spirit of the season.
Now, another option,
Magic Kingdom Park is an iconic place to celebrate. You’ll see it is decked-out with beautiful holiday decorations, and timeless charm. There is something quite nostalgic about spending the evening here and if you stay for fireworks, you may even be able to view
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.
For my family, EPCOT brings an enriching, cultural aspect that’s hard to beat. Lastly, New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World Resort also offers spectacular fireworks and unique parties across the parks, so you can’t go wrong no matter where you celebrate! Be sure to check out the
Disney Parks Blog for all of the holiday happenings!
