Hiya Kara,
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for bringing your question to us! It sounds like you're ready to swing through
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Magic Kingdom Park, just like Tarzan and Jane. Those are two fantastic choices! At Animal Kingdom, I always recommend experiencing Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain for some thrills and taking a ride on the Kilimanjaro Safaris to see incredible animals in their natural habitats. Over at Magic Kingdom, set sail on Pirates of the Caribbean, discover the backside of water on the Jungle Cruise, or test your speed on TRON Lightcycle / Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. There's so much to see and do in each park!
To answer your question, select Walt Disney World tickets do require
theme park reservations. However, you won't need to make additional reservations if you're purchasing date-based tickets (
found on the theme park ticket website). Since you plan to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom one day and Magic Kingdom on another, a 1 Park Per Day 2-Day ticket will allow you to do just that. With this ticket, you'll show up at the park of your choice each morning—no reservations required! If you'd prefer the flexibility to jump between parks or explore EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios on the same day, consider adding the Park Hopper Option to your ticket for an enhanced experience.
I recommend exploring the
Lightning Lane options through the
My Disney Experience app to make the most of your days. You can purchase the Lightning Lane Single Pass for select attractions like TRON or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or choose the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which gives you access to multiple Lightning Lane attractions throughout the day. This is a great way to minimize your wait times and maximize the fun! If you'd like help deciding which options work best for your plans, I'm here for you. Remember, Guests staying at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels can make Lightning Lane purchases starting 7 days before arrival, while other Guests can make theirs 3 days in advance.
Please
swing back here if you have any more questions, Kara! We're here to help make your Disney days unforgettable.
See ya real soon,
Brent
