Hi, Kevin! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When you walk into the lobby of
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you truly feel as if you have stepped into a bygone era. The lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of my favorite places to take a break and relax while visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort. I love to find a comfy chair to sit in while I take in all of the intricate details of this beautiful Victorian setting. Listening to the sounds of the
Grand Floridian Society Orchestra adds to the elegant ambiance of this resort hotel.
The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra has been a fixture at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for many years. They entertain guests with a mix of musical styles consisting of ragtime, Dixie, jazz, and Disney tunes. The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra plays most afternoons and evenings, and their performance schedule is posted on the Walt Disney World website. You can find those performance times using the link I have provided above. Currently, the schedule is showing performance times through the end of 2019. Keep checking back as it gets closer to the date of your trip to see when the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra will be playing during your visit.
In my experience, I have often seen members of the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra chatting with guests. At times, they have even been known to take requests. Due to some recent renovations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra relocated from their traditional spot on the second-floor balcony to the main floor of the lobby. This has worked out beautifully, as it puts the musicians closer to the guests, providing even more opportunities for interaction.
Speaking of those recent renovations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Enchanted Rose is
now welcoming guests. This new lounge is beautifully themed after the live-action
Beauty and the Beast film. Be sure to stop in for a unique cocktail or bite to eat and marvel at the elegant details that evoke this tale as old as time.
Have a magical day!
Samantha
