What specific time do reservations open? Midnight? 2am? 8am?

Hey there, Carolyn! Welcome to planDisney! We are so excited to have you stopping by and I'd be happy to answer your reservation question.

It seems like Disneyland Resort dining reservations have decided to dance at the beat of their own drum causing us here at planDisney to all be a little stumped. While it used to be that reservations tended to drop around 6:00 a.m. ET/3:00 a.m. PT, that hasn't always been the answer lately. I've heard some rumblings of it being around 6:00 a.m. PT now, but that doesn't seem to be the concrete answer either. We've even seen that some dining locations aren't even opening up right on the 60-day mark, but rather they are seeming to open up and trickle options out over a few days. I know this answer is less than ideal or helpful when you were hoping for an easy and direct time.

If you aren't successful around the 60-day mark with the reservations you were hoping for, don't give up. I suggest looking again a day or two before you want the reservations. There is a charge for those who do not show up for their reservation or fail to cancel before 24 hours, so a lot of times Guests will hold on to their reservations until right before that 24-hour cut-off period to decide. I've been able to get a few reservations last minute like that. There is also the mobile walk-up list feature in the Disneyland app that you can try the day of while you are in the parks.

Carolyn, I am sending you a bit of pixie-dusted hopes that you are able to secure your dining reservations for your upcoming trip. Be sure to come back and see us again if you have any other questions along the way.
