Hi there, Dustin! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another great question!
Disney Gift Cards are such a convenient way to pay for all sorts of things at the Disneyland Resort. You can use them to purchase theme park tickets, merchandise, food, stroller and wheelchair rentals, and even to pay for lodging at a Disneyland Resort Hotel. When it comes to
dining in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, you can use Disney Gift Cards virtually everywhere. All table service and quick service restaurants in both parks accept Disney Gift Cards as a method of payment. Most of the fruit, popcorn, churro, and other snack carts should take Disney Gift Cards as long as they are equipped with a credit card/gift card machine. In my experience, the only times that I could not use a gift card was to purchase a game card for the
Games of the Boardwalk and for balloon vendors. Additionally, other specialty vendors like those that do face painting, sell parasols, make silhouettes, or those you might see selling light-up toys before a parade or fireworks, might not be equipped to take gift cards either.
In the Downtown Disney District, however, there are more independently owned restaurants and retailers that won't take Disney Gift Cards. You can use Disney Gift Cards at World of Disney, WonderGround Gallery, Marceline's Confectionery, D-Street, Dream Boutique, and Disney's Pin Traders.
I hope this helps! Have a great time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
