Ahoy, Ryan!
Can you believe it's almost time to set sail with Disney Cruise Line? I know you can't wait to board the beautiful
Disney Fantasy soon. There's so much to love about this ship, so I hope it's a magical week visiting
Nassau,
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and
Disney Castaway Cay.
Ryan,
Senses Fitness Center is located forward on Deck 11. I always try to keep up my workout routine when I'm onboard, so I've spent quite a few hours in this space. I find it well-equipped and better than many hotel gyms I've visited. There are treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and Peloton bikes to get your cardio in. These are located facing large, floor-to-ceiling windows so the views can't be beat. You'll find a couple of benches, and the free weights are fully stocked from 5 to 60-70 pounds. There's one cable machine and a variety of weight machines to work both the upper and lower body. I also believe you'll find one rowing machine on the Fantasy. Near the free weights, there will be a few options of kettlebells, medicine balls, BOSU balls, foam rollers, and yoga mats. You should have no problems getting in a full workout each day of your sailing. The fitness center will also be stocked with plenty of towels, cool towels, water, and some complimentary fruit for when you're done. Normal operating hours are usually from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, but you'll want to double-check those on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. In my experience, the morning hours can be busy, so if that's the case, my advice is to get there at opening or wait until the afternoon.
Ryan, if you're a runner, you may want to log your miles on land when visiting Disney Castaway Cay. By the bike rental location near the Pelican Point Tram stop (the second stop), you'll find the start to the Castaway Cay 5K. This is a fun start to the day and is an easy, flat route with some unique Disney touches along the way. Once you finish, visit the Cast Members working the bike rentals, and they'll present you with a magical medal for your run. And the good news is, there is no set start time, so it's up to your schedule!
Thank you for sending in your question! Have a fantastic time in the Bahamas and have a Mickey bar for me!
Bon Voyage,
Nancy
