    What is the “specially guided safari tour” in the Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package - Tier I? Is this the Kilimanjaro Safaris or something different?

     Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erin. It's my pleasure to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

     The Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package - Tier 1 is certainly a magical experience. What could be better than a 3-course meal at Tiffins Restaurant followed by VIP seating for a Broadway-style show followed by an exclusive safari tour through the African outback? Wow!

     To answer your question, the "specially guided safari tour" is a private safari ride with other Guests who purchased this unique dining package. It's much like Kilimanjaro Safaris in that you ride through the savanna, but this is with a smaller group and led by a member of the Animal Kingdom Education Team along with a driver. Guests may learn some information not commonly shared on Kilimanjaro Safaris and will also have the opportunity to ask questions. 

     You can book the Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package - Tier 1 online or by calling (407) 939-3463. Reservations can be made the day of, but due to limited availability, I recommend making your reservations prior to your visit.
