I love how thoughtful your friend was to gift you a resort stay, and I equally love how thoughtful
you are in wanting to thank them for their generosity. There’s just something about
Disney and the
Walt Disney World Resort that inspires people to be generous, smile at those around them, and embrace a magical mood. I completely understand the desire to share that magic with others, as I’ve been able to do with my own
Disney Vacation Club membership. So let’s see what we can do.
While you can sometimes add a short message like “Happy Birthday” to your own welcome screen on your resort TV by
calling a friendly Cast Member and having it noted (they will do their best to accommodate, but it is not guaranteed), you typically can’t arrange for a scrolling message to appear on a friend’s resort television. That said, there are still some great ways to show your appreciation! You can browse a selection of
personalized gifts and floral arrangements that can be delivered to your friend's resort's
Front Desk. Another option is to
mail a card or a small gift for them to receive during their stay. If you choose to mail something, keep in mind that a handling fee is usually applied, and packages can typically be sent up to one week before arrival. Be sure to address it clearly with the word “Guest,” followed by the lead name on the reservation, along with the full resort name, resort address (found on
the resort's page), and the guest’s arrival date to ensure it reaches them successfully.
And then there’s the tried-and-true
Disney Gift Card. Whenever someone asks me what I want for a holiday or birthday, that’s my go-to. Especially as a Disney Vacation Club member, I know I’ll be frequenting the
Disney Parks, so I’ll definitely get great use out of it. I’m sure the same will be true for your friends. There are so many ways to use it, and each time they do, they’ll think of you.
