Hi! Are there any other special things for kids on Halloween other than Boo Bash? Do any of the stores or shops or any of the resorts have trick or treating or anything for kids during the day? Or should we just expect a “regular” day at Disney?

Hi Anne, and welcome to planDisney!

You must be so excited for some fall fun at the Walt Disney World Resort! I can't wait for you to experience the magic of the 50th-anniversary celebration. I just returned from an incredible visit during which I enjoyed new nighttime spectaculars and took a spin on the all-new attraction, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure

Even though you won't be attending Disney After Hours Boo Bash, you'll still be greeted by boo-tiful decorations throughout the Magic Kingdom Park; I love the Mickey Mouse-shaped pumpkins that line Main Street U.S.A! While trick-or-treating only occurs during the after-hours event, you'll find plenty of Halloween merchandise in the shops of Disney Springs, resort hotels, and theme parks.

If you'll be a Guest of a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection, be sure to stop by the front desk upon arrival to see if there is a schedule of special Halloween activities that may be offered during your stay. These are generally not available until Halloween week. In the past, I have seen things like themed movies or poolside activities, but this varies from year to year and is not guaranteed.

I hope you can experience something spooky this October 31st, Anne. Without a doubt, your trip will be unforgettable and full of magic from the excitement of the anniversary celebration. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
