Hello, Barbara!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for flipping your fins over to us with a wonderful
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm so excited to hear you'll be cruising over to see us from the West Coast
so soon! I'm always happy to chat about magical meals at the Walt Disney World Resort, so I'd be honored to help you plan some delightful
dining reservations for your upcoming visit.
Barbara, Guests can make dining reservations beginning 60 days in advance, and Guests with eligible Disney Resort hotel reservations can reserve dining for their length of stay (up to 10 nights) at that time! Bookings can be made either on the Walt Disney World Resort website or within the
My Disney Experience mobile app. The two Disneyland Resort restaurants you've mentioned are two of my favorites as well, Barbara. For ambiance comparable to Disneyland Park's Blue Bayou Restaurant, I'd recommend checking out
San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico pavilion at EPCOT. Here, you'll feast on flavorful Mexican fare in a dark and moody setting, where you can watch boats pass by as Guests cruise along aboard Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros! Alternatively, if it's the Cajun cuisine you love about Blue Bayou Restaurant, you may enjoy
Boatwright's Dining Hall at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.
Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park (formerly known as Ariel's Grotto) is my favorite Table-Service restaurant at the Disneyland Resort, Barbara! While there's nothing exactly like it at the Walt Disney World Resort, I'd like to offer up a few suggestions based on my personal favorites on this coast:
- The Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios serves up a colorful menu of California-inspired dishes in an upscale setting. This location also boasts a lounge that offers a beautiful al fresco dining experience!
- Spice Road Table at EPCOT features a Mediterranean menu and spectacular views of World Showcase Lagoon. Here, Guests can enjoy authentic small plates and delicious drinks in an open-air environment. If you time your reservation just right, you might even be able to catch Luminous The Symphony of Us from your dinner table!
- Although not inside a theme park, Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is not-to-be-missed while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. This upscale dining experience will include delectable seafood (or land-based options, if you prefer) and stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon. During Happily Ever After and the Electrical Water Pageant, Guests can delight in music piped in over the speakers!
Barbara, I hope you find these recommendations helpful and I wish you a
fin-tastic trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any more questions before or during your visit, you can always sail back over to us here at
planDisney. We're here to help you make magical memories over every meal!
Warm wishes,
Lauren
