    Hi, how can I make a special request for a room change, having in mind health issues? Is there someone or a specific area I should talk to? My daugther has autism and it would be important for her to stay in the Nemo suite, but we only got the Cars. Tks!

    Hi Maria Lucia,

    I can understand your concerns and your desire to secure a Nemo suite as compared to a Cars one. Unfortunately, there are a set number of rooms and suites in each building / category at the Art of Animation Resort. When making reservations, most guests have their hearts set on a specific building (Nemo, Cars, Lion King or the Little Mermaid), as children tend to be big fans of particular movies. I know when my oldest son was little, he would have been very disappointed to have stayed anywhere but the Lion King building if it had existed then. In your case, you are going to want to continue to check back to see if there are any cancellations in the Nemo suites for the time period that you have booked your vacation. Since guests who reserved those rooms did so because they specifically want that room type for their children, Disney can't bump them out for someone who made their vacation plans after they did. As frustrating as it is, this is a case of "first come, first served". You can put in a request on your reservation for the Nemo section, just incase there is a cancellation on the day you check in. You can also call 407-W-DISNEY and ask to speak with a reservations supervisor and see if there is anything else that they recommend. How rigid are your travel plans? Perhaps you can have them search for availability in the Nemo section for other dates in the same general time period and you can switch your vacation slightly to match the availability?
