Are there special packages offered for week of Thanksgiving 2018?

    Welcome, Cheryl!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm thrilled to hear you are planning your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. My family visited the resort during the holidays last year and I can tell you it was truly magical. The parks and resort hotels look so incredible decked out in their finest decorations. Talk about a winter wonderland!

Fall/Winter discounts are historically released in August, but it is tough to say whether or not there will be any discounts available during Thanksgiving week. It's traditionally one of the busiest times to visit, so often the dates are blacked-out of any package deals. I have noticed in the past, that there may be a room-only discount available at certain resorts during that time, but we will just have to wait and see what special offers this year holds. I like to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as usually they are one of the first to announce each time a new discount is released.

In the meantime, I suggest taking a look at the brand new Toy Story Land that will be opening in Disney's Hollywood Studios this summer. You'll definitely want to take the time to explore this toy-riffic new land in November.

Happy planning, Cheryl, and please come see us again soon with any other questions you may have.

    Magical Wishes,
