Cathryne, welcome to planDisney!
First off, happy early anniversary, and congratulations on 30 years! This occasion certainly does deserve a grand celebration. If you want to go all out, there are specific
Disney Honeymoon Packages available for all Disney Travel destinations, including the
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. You could even include a vow renewal if that is something that interests you. There is even a place for you to register for your honeymoon if family and friends wanted to gift you funds to help you celebrate.
Who says only newlyweds get to enjoy a honeymoon? My husband and I also had ours delayed 15 years, and we went all out to celebrate at Walt Disney World. I wore a
Minnie Mouse Bride Ear Headband, and my husband humored me and wore his
Mickey Mouse Groom Ear Hat for a little while. We both also wore celebration pins stating we were celebrating our honeymoon. Other Guests and Cast Members congratulated us on our wedding, and some even asked to see my ring. We really did feel like newlyweds again, running around the Theme Parks laughing and having so much fun together. My favorite part of our trip was getting all dressed up and fancy to have a spectacular formal dinner at
California Grill. Our reservation was later in the evening, so after our amazing meal, we stepped out onto the terrace and watched the nighttime fireworks over Magic Kingdom! Keep in mind, firework shows are currently on hold and may not be available yet in April. You will still have a fantastic time! I used to be upset that we never had a formal honeymoon, but I now wouldn't change our delayed one in the least. I don't think we would have appreciated our time together as much as we did having to wait so long!
Please come visit us again here at planDisney if you need any help planing this special visit. Have a magical day, Cathryne!
