The
holiday magic at Walt Disney World Resort is so special, and I'm delighted to hear you've planned a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth to celebrate Christmas this year. My very favorite Disney characters are Santa's dancing reindeer, who have appeared in past years in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. They bring me so much joy, and I hope you get to see them this year! (Parades are currently paused as the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort continues, but in the spirit of the season I am choosing to believe there will be holiday cavalcades and other seasonal character sightings this year.)
The Disney Parks Blog gave us lots of festive fun earlier this week with its Christmas in July posts. This included a wonderful early holiday gift: news about the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort! The holiday happenings will kick off on November 12th, and will include decorations, special seasonal treats, entertainment, and more.

Showtimes have not yet appeared on the
Park Hours calendar for December. When they do, you'll be able to use the Park Hours as a tool for planning your family's Christmas cheer. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more announcements about nighttime spectaculars and other events so you can add them to your plans.
In my experience, special Christmas Day events include holiday meals and treats and character magic throughout the parks. Those are often not announced until just before the big day - after all, Santa Mickey is very busy with all the seasonal preparations! The Disney Parks Blog will share more about holiday cheer throughout the season, and your friends here at planDisney are always happy to play the role of elves and answer your questions and help you plan!
