I have a special needs son that I will need to keep in a stroller to get around. My question would be if there are rentals to accomodate a 5 yr old and if so what the weight capacity is on the strollers. If not, so that I may plan on traveling with one.

    Hi Rebecca!

While Disney does not list a weight limit on the strollers, the strollers available to rent are large and will hold a five year old.

I have a five year old daughter who is tall for her age and she fit comfortably in a rental stroller. I've seen families pushing around much older children in the stroller, after a long day at the park when little legs get weary.

Another solution is to bring your own stroller. I personally like the McLarean Volo because it has a high weight capacity and it folds up compactly so I can carry it.
