I have a special needs son who loves pirates. We want to let him do the Pirate League and parade, but I'm not sure he can do the parade. Do the parents stay with the kids and how long is the parade? Can I walk with him? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Krystal ~

I also have a special needs son and he loves to participate in as many things as possible at Disney World. We have found the Cast Members to be very accommodating and understanding whenever possible.

The Pirates League is so much fun for little buccaneers. You will be able to stay with your son throughout this experience. You can even let them know if you have any concerns that they should be aware of before they begin his transformation into a swashbuckler.

The Parade of Pirates in Adventureland is typically held at 4:00 p.m. (weather permitting) but your Pirate Masters will confirm that for you on the day you visit The Pirates League. It is a short parade (the whole experience is usually around 15 minutes) and you are more than welcome to walk with your son. If you see that he is not enjoying it, it will be really easy for you to step out with him - it is very informal.

Please feel free to visit us with all of you planning questions. We are hEAR for you.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
