Hello. I am a special needs para taking my students on their senior trip. I have a disability regarding walking/standing myself and have what is called a “Flip Stick Walking Stick/Cane” that collapses to help aid me which is also a seat. Is this allowed?

    Hi there, Alexandra!

"To all who come to this happy place, welcome!" Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question about permitted items at the Disneyland Resort. I'm so excited to hear that you'll be visiting The Happiest Place on Earth in just a couple of weeks, Alexandra! I'm here to help you prepare for your magical day at the Disneyland Resort.

First and foremost, I'd like to thank you for the services you provide to your students. Alexandra, roles like yours positively impact the lives of young people, and I'm thrilled that you'll be able to experience the Disneyland Resort alongside your students! While the decision as to whether or not an item will be allowed into a theme park ultimately lies with the security team at the park's entrance, I'm happy to inform you that cane-chairs and seat-walker mobility aids are permitted within Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Alexandra, have you considered utilizing Disability Access Service (DAS) at the Disneyland Resort? This complimentary service provides accommodations to Guests who may have challenges tolerating extended wait times in traditional attraction queue settings. Eligible Guests can pre-register for DAS Advance via live video chat with a Disneyland Resort Cast Member up to 30 days before their theme park visit, but no later than two days prior to arrival. I encourage you to explore this option in order to make the most of your time at Disneyland Park and/or Disney California Adventure Park. Your visit may be a celebratory event for the senior students, but you deserve to enjoy your time at The Happiest Place on Earth, too!

I hope that you find this information helpful, Alexandra. I'm wishing you a magical and memorable visit to the Disneyland Resort! If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to revisit us at planDisney anytime. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
