Ahoy, Nicole!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's so nice talking with a fellow Disney-loving special needs family! We love setting sail aboard
Disney Cruise Line because of how inclusive and accessible the entire ship is for my son. I can't wait for your pirate crew to experience it, too!
Thank you for sailing by with such a great question. I'm happy to share that the height of the commodes in the accessible staterooms is 17 1/2 inches. We recently returned from a Disney Cruise and loved our accessible stateroom. The automatic stateroom doors make rolling my son's wheelchair through the entranceway a breeze! If you haven't done so already, give Disney Cruise Line's Special Services Team a call at (407) 566-3602 to discuss your family's needs during your voyage. A member from the Special Services Team will be happy to add any additional requests for accommodations you might have onto your reservation! When you have a moment, check out the
list of special equipment available onboard for Guests with disabilities, too. For example, if someone in your family needs a raised toilet seat, you can request one prior to setting sail!
Nicole, I'm wishing you a Disney Cruise filled with unforgettable memories and adventure! If you have any other questions prior to setting sail, please come back and visit us again!
