Hello Jennifer!
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you are soon going to be having a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort!
I wish I had better news but right now the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park is only able to serve guests that are between the ages of 3 and 12 years of age. There are no exceptions for special needs adults but I do have some ideas to help make her day special!
I have found two locations open now on Walt Disney World Resort property that can serve adults with hair styling. One is
The Grand Floridian Spa at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You can book your appointment online and I saw services that include a "Special Hairstyling/Updo" and even an Express Manicure which may work out well if the day ends up being too much of sensory overload. Another spa/salon I found is
Mandara Spa at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel which has a "Special Occasion Hair Design" service. I would bring a special clip or comb that the stylists can put in during this service to make her sparkle.
If you want something even more special I recommend making her day magical starting from your Resort Room. If you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you can have a special flower or gift package delivered directly to your room through
Disney Floral & Gifts. One of my favorites that fits perfectly for you is "A Disney Princess Royal Welcome" which is a whole gift set with a crown and a royal proclamation!
I would then take your special princess to Magic Kingdom Park and visit Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and ask nicely if a Fairy Godmother Apprentice can "pixie-dust" your princess. They can for free do a special dusting of this magic sparkle for your princess and for you as well Jennifer! No age limitations for this! Now, there are
rules about adults wearing costumes in the Parks outside of the special ticketed holiday events but you are totally allowed to "Disneybound". That's when guests wear outfits that hint at Disney characters without it being a replica using regular clothing. An example could be wearing a pretty purple sundress and having flowers in your braided hair to resemble Rapunzel in Tangled. It's a great chance to be creative and to be honest much more comfortable to wear as those princess dresses can be very scratchy and uncomfortable in the Florida heat.
While it may not be the answer you wanted, I know that you can make her day maybe even more special. Don't forget to find a
PhotoPass photographer and get that gorgeous picture in front of Cinderella Castle! I also suggest checking out Cinderella's Wishing Well which is this quiet spot on the pathway to the right of the Castle on the way to Tomorrowland. It's a great spot for a princess photo shoot. It's a little tricky to find but on your
My Disney Experience App just use the map tool and zoom into Cinderella Castle. Look to the right and you will see the little well on a path. Trust me, it's a quiet space, good for some distraction-free photos, and very special.
I hope this helps and
let me know if you have any more questions! Have a magical day!
