Ahoy there, Erin, and welcome to planDisney! I still remember the first time I took my little one to Magic Kingdom for that milestone, so I completely understand why you stopped by with this question.
As a fellow lover of both Disney Cruise Line and Disney Parks, I wish I could give you better news. While you can experience many special firsts aboard a Disney Cruise, the
“My First Haircut” package at Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park is the only official first haircut experience Disney offers. If you aren’t planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort before your sailing, allow me to make a few other suggestions.
If you’re hoping to create a magical memory at sea, I encourage you to stop by
Senses Spa & Salon once onboard and chat with the Cast Members there. While they don’t have an official “first haircut” package, they may be able to work with you to create something memorable. On several of the newer Disney ships, you’ll also find
Untangled Salon, a Rapunzel-inspired space where little ones (and grown-ups!) can enjoy hair services surrounded by golden lanterns and touches from Tangled.
Looking ahead, once your child turns 3, they’ll be eligible for a royal transformation at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, also available on select ships. Even without a reservation, I’ve been known to stop by when the Fairy Godmothers-in-Training aren’t too busy. Sometimes, they’ll happily add a sprinkle of pixie dust to your hair if they’re not assisting another royal subject. It’s a sweet way to add a little Disney magic to your day.
I still have those “First Haircut” Mickey Ears, a lock of hair, and the certificate from my son’s first haircut, so I know just how special those milestones are. While I wish I could have shared better news, Erin, I’m confident you’ll still create a core memory for your little one. And if you think of any other questions before you set sail next February, I hope you’ll visit us again here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
