Greetings, Michael, and welcome to planDisney! A visit to the Disneyland Resort in early December sounds lovely. I can already picture it: a towering tree in Town Square, wreaths and garland throughout the park, snow topping Sleeping Beauty Castle, toy soldiers marching along the parade route, and so much more. The
holiday season is my favorite time of year to visit the Resort.
Entertainment schedules and park hours are typically available on the Disneyland website as far as six weeks out, on the
Hours & Events Calendar. That means you should be able to look up details for your visit near the end of October. You should also keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland account on Instagram to make sure you don't miss any special announcements about happenings at the Resort during your visit.
The Disneyland Candlelight Processional will likely return in early December, although I don't expect it to overlap the dates of your visit. We do know that the holiday experiences will be well underway at the Disneyland Resort. Here are some of the things you can look forward to:
- Don't miss the tree and Sleeping Beauty Castle illuminate each evening! "it's a small world" also has a special moment when the façade lights up, and there is a light projection show multiple times after dark. These are great areas to watch the "Believe...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks Spectacular - some locations even have a "snowfall" as part of the show. It feels like real-life magic!
- Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends! at Fantasyland Theater provides continuous fun, with arts and crafts, holiday songs, photo opportunities, animated holiday shorts, and more. This will definitely put you in the spirit of the season.
- The Disneyland Resort Home for the Holidays Guided Tour is a two-hour walking tour that will leave you feeling merry. You'll hear all about beloved holiday traditions at the park, get Lightning Lane access to Haunted Mansion Holiday, special viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade, and more. Guided tours are a fantastic addition to any Disneyland Resort visit.
- Over at California Adventure, the Disney Festival of Holidays will feature multicultural performances, festive food, unique merchandise, and more. Purchase a Sip and Savor Pass to go on your own foodie adventure.
Michael, make sure to check the
Hours & Events Calendar as your trip approaches for detailed entertainment schedules. In the meantime, I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your plans. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
