Hi Brittany,
My family spent Easter week at Walt Disney World Resort last year and had the best time! I’m so excited for you, and so happy you brought this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
If you’re staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, make sure to ask your resort’s Cast Members about any special Easter activities taking place, both at your resort and in the parks. While I can’t promise you’ll experience the same thing, I can tell you that at our resort, we experienced a character greeting with Mickey Mouse and an Easter candy buffet!
There’s usually an egg-stra special character greeting with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny in Magic Kingdom Park; while you're there, don’t miss the springtime-themed Main Street Trolley Show or the Main Street Confectionery's adorable spring and Easter-themed treats. My kids loved the Disney character-themed Easter egg scavenger hunt around Epcot’s World Showcase. Purchase a fun map set with stickers that they attach when they find each egg, and bring the completed map to the designated location for a fun prize! My parents raved about the intricate chocolate egg display by Disney’s talented pastry artists at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you'd like to observe a religious service on Easter Sunday, services are usually held in one of the resort’s conference facilities.
Last year it was pretty close to Easter before we saw all the Easter events formally announced, so be sure to keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. Between the typically lovely weather, the fantastic
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and all the Easter fun, you are going to have a magical spring vacation!
