Hello, Dianna!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The Disney After Hours events are among my favorite experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort! I attended my first one almost a year ago, and it was especially remarkable because I did it on my arrival day. Enjoying an emptier
Magic Kingdom Park was unforgettable!
In my opinion, they’re fantastic for those resting days in the middle of a trip, as tickets sold for
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and Disney After Hours do not require a separate regular Theme Park admission. What it means is that you have two options when planning to attend one of these events.
First, you can choose to use a
regular Theme Park admission to visit a
Theme Park during the day and then use a Special Event ticket to attend a night event. In that case, you would be paying for two tickets on the same day and probably enjoying around 16 hours of fun in total.
Your second option is to buy a Special Event ticket and make creative plans to enjoy before you can enter that Theme Park for your event. At
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, for example, Guests can join
Disney After Hours events at 7:00 p.m., so you could plan a fun day and then head to this Theme Park at 6:00 p.m. to get the party started. You can spend a day by the pool, have lunch at one of the
gorgeous Disney Resort hotels, or even explore
Disney Springs.
I’d suggest going with the second choice, as I usually find nighttime events more enjoyable after a relaxing day. I hope that you can make the most of your time at the Walt Disney World Resort. For me, combining all the different options to craft the perfect vacation is part of the fun!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
