With the special entrance closed for Pixar Place hotel guests, how to enter the park and how long from the hotel now?

Greetings, Tracy, and welcome back to planDisney! Your Disneyland Resort vacation is just around the corner, and there's so much to look forward to. The Pixar Place Hotel will be a great place to rest after a full day of attractions, food, entertainment, Character greetings, and more. Let's talk about how to navigate the Resort area.

There are two paths you can take to get from Pixar Place Hotel to the theme parks. One option is to walk through the Downtown Disney District. There's an entrance that isn't far from the hotel – it's about a 4-minute walk. Head towards the hotel parking structure, make a right, and follow the path. The Disneyland Monorail is near that entrance. It's a convenient way to get into Disneyland, but as my pal Corey shared, it will be closed for refurbishment in early April. I suggest grabbing a specialty drink from The Sketch Pad Café inside the hotel or Parkside Market Coffee near the Disneyland Monorail entrance. Enjoy it as you take a leisurely walk through the Downtown Disney District to the theme park entrance.

The other option is to cross Disneyland Drive at the intersection to the Grand Californian Hotel. You can enter the pedestrian gate with your Disneyland Resort hotel key. Walk through the lobby to the special California Adventure entrance near Napa Rose. I've made this walk quite a few times during my stays at Pixar Place Hotel – it usually takes my family less than 10 minutes. The Grand Californian Hotel also has an entrance to the other end of Downtown Disney, which is another possible route if you're going to Disneyland.

Now, before we say goodbye, I want to say how much I love Pixar Place Hotel – the whimsical decor, bold colors, comfortable amenities, and the amazing pool deck make for a great stay. Check with the Front Desk once you arrive to see if any Characters will be stopping by, like Bing Bong. The pool deck has an interactive games area and is a fantastic place to watch the Disneyland fireworks. With two young kids, our family likes this option, because we can experience the show and then quickly get our tired little ones to bed.

Tracy, I hope your trip is magical and memorable in every way. If you have any questions during your visit, the Front Desk can assist you. There's also a useful chat feature on the Disneyland mobile app. Of course, we're always happy to help here at planDisney, too. Reach out anytime!

    Your pal,
