Hi, Margaret - great to see you again at planDisney with another excellent question! I know you're embarking on a magical Disney vacation this week, so I will get right down to business with the information you're looking for.
There are two schools of thought about how to organize a land and sea vacation that combines a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort with a sailing on
Disney Cruise Line. Is it better to relax at sea after hitting the theme parks, or should you enjoy the parks with your battery recharged after some onboard pampering? Well, Margaret, since you'll be at the parks both before AND after your cruise, you will have to let us know what you think! For me, the best perk of combining the two is that you can take Disney transportation to your port, which makes the whole experience so seamless.
There are no current discounts for theme park tickets available for Guests sailing on DCL. If you visit The Most Magical Place on Earth regularly, you might want to look at whether a
Sorcerer Pass might be a good option for you. This is a discounted version of the Walt Disney World Annual Pass that's available for
Disney Vacation Club Members and Florida residents. I've been crunching numbers for my own Disney travels this year, and I think 2026 just may be my Sorcerer Pass moment! When you log into your
My Disney Experience account, the Sorcerer Pass should show up in the available options on the
Annual Passes page.
While you're on board your magical Disney cruise, be sure to visit the DVC desk each day. There is usually some special Member swag available! Most sailings also offer a Member Celebration, which is always a lot of fun. You will also be able to enjoy a discount on merchandise at select retail locations on the ship. Check out the
Member Benefits page for the most up-to-date information.
I hope you have a simply magical vacation, Margaret! If our planDisney crew can help with any other last-minute questions, please come see us again, and we'll be thrilled to help.
Bon Voyage!
Susan
