What are special dining events for parties over 8, with kids? Thank you

    Hi Meredith,

Traveling with a large party to Walt Disney World can be so much fun! Let me offer you some suggestions of dining experiences that I think are greatly enjoyable when visited with a large party.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue immediately comes to mind. This show includes humorous and high-energy entertainment, and the food is delicious. The end of the show features some audience members being called up on stage, which offers some extra pixie dust for your vacation if someone from your party is chosen! Another option, which, like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, is at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, is Mickey's Backyard BBQ. This picnic-type event is fun for the whole family, but I think that it is extra fun for the little ones. Entertainment at this dinner includes dancing with characters and a country-western band, all in a casual atmosphere.

Also consider some of the restaurants at Walt Disney World that offer activities built into your meal. At 'Ohana, there may be coconut sweeping and hula hooping. 'Ohana also means family, and this restaurant is conducive to large parties enjoying each other's company. Another possibility is Whispering Canyon Cafe, where cast members interact with guests in a humorous manner and children may find themselves in a hobby horse race.

I hope that this gives you some ideas for dining with your large party, Meredith. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
