Hello Melissa and thanks for bringing such a super interesting question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I'm truly excited to hEar you're planning on an early December 2019 trip to the most magical place on earth - Walt Disney World Resort.
Whilst I don't personally know of any special celebrations held each yEar in honour of Walt's birthday on 5th December I would love to suggest a few Attractions in the Magic Kingdom Park to visit in recognition of his birth. Firstly it would be a fun idea to collect a complimentary '
I'm celebrating' button which are available from most any
Guest Relations; proudly wearing a button would let Cast Members and other Guests alike know you're commemorating what would have been Walt's 118th birthday.
It's well documented that Walt dearly loved steam trains so I think beginning your
Walt Disney day with a ride on the
Walt Disney World Railroad - Main Street, U.S.A would be fitting and it just be perfect if you could be lucky enough to ride in the carriages being pulled by the engine
Walter E. Disney thus named after the great man himself!
After the train ride I suggest trekking to Adventureland to visit
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room which was the 1st ever Audio-Animatronics show and debuted at Disneyland Park back in 1963 before heading for a great big beautiful tomorrow at
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress which was designed by Walt himself for the 1964-65 New York World's Fair.
Magical wishes for a fun trip ~ Jane
