Do you have a special area for parking RV's that allows us to run the generator? We travel with our dogs and wouldn't want to leave them in the RV without air conditioning.

Hi Clifton! I am an RV owner and also have pets and understand your wish to travel with your furry friends. Disney only allows service dogs in the parks so we have to look at the options.

If you have a reservation at Fort Wilderness, which is the only pet friendly resort on property, you will have a spot for full hookup in one of the loops. You can also park in the overflow lot where many will have the campers running on generators while waiting for a spot or using it on their last day so they can visit parks.

RV parking is certainly available and welcome in all four theme parks and the cast members would assist you when you arrive. Kennels are no longer available at park locations. In general Disney does not allow any vehicle to be left running in the theme park lots for the safety of everyone involved. Although you are a responsible pet owner they cannot guarantee that for everyone who drives in.

As RV and pet owners we know the dangers of what can happen if the air is suddenly off in the vehicle during warm temperatures. Generators can have things happen even in the newest models and I think you would enjoy your time more if you were not worrying about your pets.  The solution at Disney is to use the great facility, Best Friends Pet Care, conveniently located near Port Orleans Resort. You can drop off your pet for the day or book a spot for overnight care. They are open an hour before the earliest park opening and an hour after the latest park closing.  You can come and visit your pets at any time of the day and the facilities are superb with walking paths and water play areas.

It would be good to call ahead and reserve a space. The number is 407-203-9522 and they will be glad to answer any question you might have about their services. Check out their website as well, bestfriendspetcare.com.
