Hi Lynn! I am so glad to hear that you’re beginning to plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Choosing to stay in
deluxe accommodations is certainly going to provide you with an extra magical experience! My family loves deluxe resorts! Our favorites are Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort! However, there are several other deluxe resorts that I’ll share later in this answer!
Lynn, one of the main reasons that we choose to stay in deluxe resort accommodations is the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours benefit that is available to Guests staying in deluxe resorts or deluxe villas! On select evenings, the parks “close” for most but remain open for Guests staying in deluxe accommodations. The parks become less crowded and wait times for rides and attractions are reduced! It’s a really nice perk! Knowing that we’ll be staying up late allows us to sleep in a little bit in the morning and enjoy some resort pool and relaxation time during the day!
In addition to the resorts that I mentioned above, other deluxe accommodations include Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. Additionally, if you feel that a villa will be more accommodating for your family, you can check out the
wide range of villas available at resorts throughout Walt Disney World!
All of these resorts are available for you to look at on the
Walt Disney World Resort website! When you arrive at the site, just click on the heading that states, “Places to Stay.” You can then click on any of the resorts that you might want to look at. You can also check out the video that I linked to this answer which includes some of my planDisney friends sharing their thoughts about Walt Disney World Resort hotels and accommodations!
Finally, Lynn, when you feel like you’ve narrowed down your options, you can give a call to a friendly Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort. They will help you to book your resort and can also help with any other bookings that you might be thinking about including park tickets!
Happy planning!
Jonathan
