Hi Mark,
Welcome to planDisney!
Your question is a good one. I would first suggest that you review the information on
Guests with Disabilities. That information includes a phone number to call if you have questions. As you continue to plan, I will say that my family has used the services for guests with disabilities and we have been quite grateful for the many cast members who have helped us through the years.
We have also used a few other strategies to make our time in the theme parks more manageable. First, we make
advanced dining reservations. Doing so gives us predictable breaks during our park time. It also reduces the amount of time we are waiting in line to get food. At Magic Kingdom, we have used
Disney Genie+. We also stay at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels so that we can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests. And, we prefer to stay at deluxe or deluxe villa resort hotels so that we can also use
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours.
On a prior visit, my husband also needed to
rent an electric conveyance vehicle (ECV). The process was easy to navigate. If you will need an ECV or wheelchair, I do suggest that you try to rent those at park opening because they are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis and may not be available later in the day. If you will need an ECV or wheelchair at the resort hotel as well, I suggest that you rent through the Disney Featured Provider, currently the featured provider is ScooterBug.
Mark, I hope this preliminary information helps. In the spirit of Tiana, I am sending a wish to the Evening Star, trusting that the cast members can help answer your specific questions!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
