Hey howdy hey, Julia! You’ve got a friend in me at planDisney, and I’d love to help you with your question.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to say goodbye to 2020 and start planning for magical days ahead! So, I’m excited to hEAR that you’re starting to think about your large family vacation to the
Happiest Place in Earth in 2022! I have a couple ideas to help you begin. First, depending on how large your family is, you may be able to contact
Disney Group Getaways for assistance. Disney Group Getaways experiences and benefits are available to groups who book and occupy at least 10 Guest rooms during one night of their stay. If this is you, you can either
complete this form or call (714) 520-5004 and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you. If you need less than 10 Guest rooms, you can contact the Disney Reservation Center at (714) 520-5045. In addition, check out the
Help Centre, which shows helpful phone numbers to specific departments such as Vacation Packages, Tickets, and Hotel Reservations.
As you probably already know, the Disneyland Resort theme parks and Resort Hotels
are currently closed as we await updates from local and state government officials. Currently, hotel reservations and new ticket sales are paused. Typically, hotel reservations for the following year open late summer or early fall, but due to the circumstances of this year, 2021 reservations still haven’t been released at this time. I checked with a Cast Member, and she told me that you should be able to book your 2022 vacation by fall of 2021.
Once the parks do reopen, keep in mind that
reservations will be required. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog,
Disneyland.com, and the
Disneyland app for all the latest updates and information. You’ll be the first to know when theme-park tickets and hotel reservations are available once again!
In the meantime, you can go ahead and start thinking about
where you want to stay, and
where you want to dine… two of my favorite parts of a getaway to the Disneyland Resort! My family loves staying at the
Disneyland Hotel, thanks to the thrilling monorail waterslides… I think my Mouseketeers could ride them all day!
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is another favorite of mine, thanks to the convenient theme-park access to Disney California Adventure Park, and the beauty of the property – both inside and out! Check out
these helpful planDisney videos to start planning your dream getaway!
Wishing you a healthy holiday season and magical year to come, Julia!
