HELLO FROM SPAIN!! I´m planning my travel, and I will get in on 30th September, but the 50th anniversary acts are going to start on 1st October. On 30th of September nothing about the 50th anniversary will be on? Is better to delay one day my bookig?

    Hey there, Javier!

Thanks so much for reaching out to us here at planDisney with your question. Each of us here on the planDisney Panel loves to share our own Disney vacation tips and experiences as Guests to help you enjoy your own Disney magic.

I am so very excited for you that you're planning to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort! You ask a great question about how best to time your arrival and whether or not you should delay your booking by a day. You're right that "The World’s Most Magical Celebration" begins October 1. I think the answer to your question really depends on your vacation preferences and your vacation itinerary.

Regarding your preferences, do you prefer to arrive a day early and enjoy some relaxing downtime before the festivities begin? Or do you prefer to arrive and get straight away to celebrate in the theme parks? (Although, speaking for myself, I think there will be so much big excitement and high energy counting down to the anniversary that I don't imagine for a moment I could expect any relaxing downtime for myself. It's all too exciting!)

Regarding your vacation itinerary, have you already purchased your theme park admission tickets and made your theme park reservations? If you haven't yet made your theme park reservations, my best recommendation is to check out the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar and then make your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system. The Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar will let you see which theme parks have reservations available on a given day. For example, at the moment, Magic Kingdom Park  shows no more Disney Park Pass selections available for October 1. So you might choose to plan your travel itinerary around your reservations.

Whatever you decide to do based on your preferences, I'm certain that the 50th anniversary celebration will be so exciting for you to experience. I'm simply thrilled for you!

I am just as excited as all of us who are friends of Mickey to hear more details about the anniversary celebration. I'm eagerly anticipating learning more over the coming months as information is shared. If you're like me, you'll be staying up-to-date with Disney Parks Blog to learn about all the entertainment, events, and magical moments coming up.

What we all do know so far about "The World’s Most Magical Celebration" looks simply stunning! So much sparkle and glimmer and glow. I think the new word describing the whole anniversary vibe -- “EARidescence” -- is the perfect expression.

Javier, here's wishing you a wonderful stay to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort! If you have questions as you make your plans, ask us here at planDisney. We're here for you and happy to help.

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
