at space 220 restaurant, can 2 adults share a plate? or can an adult get the kids plate?

Hi there, Lori!  Welcome back to planDisney!

Since its grand opening at the start of Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary celebration, Space 220 Restaurant at EPCOT has been extremely popular among Guests.  It's really no wonder that this dining experience is so well-liked.  The theming and the food at Space 220 Restaurant are out of this world!

Both lunch and dinner at Space 220 Restaurant have a prix fixe menu.  So regardless of what you order, each adult will be charged the full adult price.  If you think this might be too much food for your party, I would recommend visiting Space 220 Lounge instead.  Space 220 Lounge offers the same experience and the same views of Earth from 220 miles above as the restaurant, however, there is no prix fixe menu in the lounge.  Guests who make a Space 220 Lounge reservation will be seated in the lounge area near the bar and can order from the lounge menu which offers a la carte items.  Lounge Guests are perfectly welcome to share a dish and will only be charged for the items that they order rather than a flat fee.

Reservations for Space 220 Lounge are booked separately from Space 220 Restaurant.  In other words, you won't be able to be seated in the lounge or order from the lounge menu with a Space 220 Restaurant reservation.  The flexibility of the Space 220 Lounge menu makes it an extremely popular experience.  This coupled with the fact that the lounge area is rather small can make this a tough dining reservation to find.  If you aren't able to secure a Space 220 Lounge reservation right away, keep trying.  Guests change their plans all the time, so you never know when a reservation might pop up.  If you're unable to book a Space 220 Lounge reservation, you can always ask a Cast Member at the restaurant's check-in if there is a walk-up waiting list for the bar.  Walk-up availability cannot be guaranteed, but it never hurts to ask.

Lori, I hope you have the opportunity to dine among the stars at Space 220.  If you have any other questions about your upcoming vacation, feel free to visit us again here at planDisney.  See ya real soon!
