Hi Bryanna,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. You'll be
drinking in the magic (see what I did there?) at Walt Disney World in just a few short months, and I'm so excited for you!
One of my favorite things about the
Disney Dining Plan is that specialty beverages, such as smoothies, milkshakes, and alcoholic beverages (for Guests 21 and older), are now included with Quick-Service and Table-Service meals. My family had so much fun ordering everything from green smoothies to over-the-top cocktails on our last visit, and we have the silly pictures to prove it!
When it comes to souvenir items, such as sipper cups or glow cubes, the general rule is that items served in a souvenir container (popcorn buckets, souvenir cups) or items considered to be merchandise (glow cubes) are not included. In my experience, you'll be able to pay out of pocket for those items if you'd like – I paid a small surcharge for a super-cute Ariel glow cube at one restaurant, which I have clipped to my lamp at home so we can have Disney disco parties. One of my favorite cocktails at Walt Disney World is the
Lapu Lapu, which comes served in a pineapple. On the Disney Dining Plan, you can have the beverage served in a regular glass (still delicious) or you can pay to have it served in the pineapple (worth it!).
Bryanna, each Disney Dining Plan includes a Resort Refillable Mug, which is a cute souvenir mug that you’ll be able to refill at resort beverage islands for the length of your stay. That makes a great souvenir – we use ours all the time, especially when we need a little magic.
Have so much fun, and enjoy every bite – and sip!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
