We are from South African and will be visiting Disney World from mid - end of April and wanted to know what the weather was like and how busy the resort is at this time of theyar.

    Hi Michelle,

You can expect the weather in Orlando for April to be drier than the rainy season, and almost always warm.  You will notice slowly rising temperatures (typically sunny) and it is definitely worthy of shorts, short-sleeved shirts, hats and sunscreen.  April is a perfect time to enjoy the water parks or swimming in the resort pool.  Normal Highs for April are around 82F and the Normal Low is about 60F.  Drink lots of water!!!

As far as attendance trends during mid April to the end of April, you will find the middle part to be still quite busy from the Easter rush and "Spring Break".  The Easter time guideline at Walt Disney World is considered to be from April 4-18, 2009 and you will be seeing the tail end of that (as well as the remainder of Spring Break).  From April 18th until May 21st will not be "value" season nor will it be "Summer" or a "Peak" time to visit, so you are right in the middle....quite a good place to be!  Obviously the "value" season is the best, but after value comes the "Regular" time period and that is the next best thing.  I suspect that you will have very nice weather with a moderate crowd level (especially closer to the end of April).  Good time to go (in my opinion) and I am sure you will have a very magical time.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
