Welcome aboard planDisney!
Well John, I know that Disney Cruise Line really knocks it out of the park with activities and entertainment for kids, but I’m here to tell you that there’s also so much for adults to do onboard. Disney Cruise Line doesn’t keep winning top accolades in the industry by just catering to kids. After all, we grown-ups pay for these vacations, so they need to impress us, too! So I’ve put together this list of some of the most fun
activities and entertainment available for adults on Disney Cruise Line:
Pool and Sundeck Time! Catching some rays poolside at the
Quiet Cove pool is the perfect way to spend a day at sea. On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, don't miss Satellite Falls, featuring a sundeck for lounging and a wading pool with a cascading shower for chilling.
Fun Ashore! Port Adventures usually include a few options for adults-only excursions, which can be narrowed by your ports of call and then scrolling the list to see which ones include “Adults Only” in the title.
Just Dance! Our favorite way to burn calories on a Disney cruise is the Silent DJ Party, where everyone dances to music with headphones while listening to different channels. Nothing better than getting to "Bust a Move" (one of my favorite tunes) on the dance floor.
Miniature Golf! There’s really nothing like a friendly game of miniature golf overlooking the ocean. (Exclusive to the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.)
Java time! With comfy seating, pastries, and coffee specialty drinks topped with Mickey art,
Cove Cafe has the best views of any coffee house you’ll ever see! At nighttime, it transforms into a lounge for adult beverages and appetizers.
Cheers! One of my favorite experiences is a
Beverage Tasting. These seminars are informative and interactive with the bartender/instructor teaching Guests about the making of and origins of some popular spirits and liquor. Plus, you get to make new friends with fellow cruisers and have a lot of fun in the process!
B-I-NGO! So there are many activities onboard that are sure to entertain adults and not be brimming with kids. I’m talking about Bingo, Anyone Can Cook food demonstrations, and the Art of the Theme Ship tour. Look for the dates and times for these on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Sp-AHH! While you can book a spa treatment at
Senses Spa and Salon, my guilty pleasure is the Rainforest. This adults-only area offers sauna, aromatherapy showers, and heated tile loungers. It’s a magical oasis to unwind and rest during the hustle and bustle of a busy cruise itinerary.
John, I hope this has you convinced that adults can have just as much fun on a Disney cruise (if not more) than the kids!
Happy Sailing!
