Heigh-ho, Stephanie! It’s off to Walt Disney World Resort you go!
I’m excited to see you again at planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question for us. There are so many things I adore about Walt Disney World Resort, from Mickey-shaped yummy treats to the adventurous attractions; however, there is one thing that I love most of all, and that’s the fact that The Most Magical Place on Earth is for
everyone!
Stephanie, I’m happy to tell you about the
Disability Access Service (DAS). This service is for those who are unable to wait in a traditional queue of the attraction. My family has utilized this service many times, and the way it works is on your first day at a theme park, you can stop by a
Guest Relations location, which is located in all theme parks, and let the Cast Member know you’d like to opt for the Disability Access Service. The Cast Member there will set it up for your husband and the party. Then, you will be able to head to the Cast Member attending the attraction of your choice and let them know you’d like a return time using your DAS. They will give you a return time to enjoy the attraction, as you go grab a snack or enjoy a nice stroll; and once it is time for you to come back and experience the attraction, you will go through without waiting in the stand-by queue. Once you’ve used your first return-time for one attraction, you can sign up for another one, and so on.
Stephanie, I would also recommend you check out
Services for Guests with Visual Disabilities. This page will show you the types of services offered that may help enhance your husband’s experience, such as audio descriptions being available!
Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the luckiest of them all? It’s YOU because you’re going to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Stephanie! Have an enchanting time!
