Hi Mom's. Sorry, another ?. We are planning a Disney Dream cruise but we are driving down from Canada. Staying at Fort Wilderness for 3 days before hand. How do we get to Port Canaveral for cruise and what can we do with our car? Thank you

    Hi, Lindsey!

From Walt Disney World (WDW) to Port Canaveral, you'll simply want to follow these directions:

    * Take State Road 536 East which leads directly to the 417 (Greenway). (State Road 417 is a toll road.)
    * Follow the 417 to State Road 528 (Beachline Expressway). (State Road 528 is also a toll road.)
    * Go east on State Road 528.
    * At the fork in the road, veer right to stay on State Road 528.
    * Continue on State Road 528 and make your way over the Indian River and Banana River.
    * Turn onto State Road 401, which will loop and head north over the channel locks.
    * Stay in the right-hand lane and follow the signs to Cruise Terminal A.

It takes about an hour and a half to drive from WDW to the port. You'll need your cruise documents and identification at the security checkpoint before your car is allowed on property, and you can pull up to the curb to unload your luggage for check in.

An outdoor parking facility is operated by the Port Canaveral Port Authority. Cash, Visa and Mastercard are the only acceptable forms of payment. (Personal checks and other cards are not accepted.) The daily parking rate is $15, and rates are subject to change. Hopefully, that has answered your questions and helped you plan.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
