Sorry to bother you again. I have seen the images of queues for rides. I have a skin condition which means I cannot have the sun in my face. I have an umbrella and hat that covers for this. Will I be allowed to keep my umbrella up in the wait lines please?

How ya doin' Hannah and welcome back to planDisney!

It's within our human nature to ask questions especially when we're working through a new set of parameters like a recently diagnosed skin condition. You could never be a bother to us here at planDisney. We're here to help! I'm going to do my best to point you in the right direction.

A little chat with a Cast Member and a perusal of the current Walt Disney World Property Rules led me to the conclusion that you can indeed use an umbrella for outdoor queues. In my personal experience, some of these lines can get a bit tight so be careful not to hit other Guests. You could also add another layer of protection to your gear with a poncho! You'll probably want to pack one anyway since Florida in July is no stranger to unexpected rain showers. But it can double as a great way to protect your skin from the Sunshine State's namesake without the extra task of holding that umbrella for longer than you'd like.

Hannah, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, you come right back here and ask us. We love helping out our old friends!

    Happy planning!
