Hey, Robert! No question is a dumb question, so don't you worry about apologizing! You'd be surprised how many people want this exact information!
I wish I could give you a very specific dollar amount, but it really does depend on how you eat. Whenever I traveled with my dad to the theme parks, breakfast was always our big meal of the day, because it was his favorite. That usually meant no one was too hungry for lunch, so that was a meal we skipped altogether in favor of a Mickey ice cream bar or a shared turkey leg. What a way to mess up a meal budget!
My general rule of thumb is the Rachel Ray school of thought - $40 per day, per person. I allow $10 per person for breakfast, $10 for lunch, and $20 for dinner most days, and then I plan to splurge on one big meal - either a character meal or a meal at one of Walt Disney World's signature restaurants.
You won't always spend $10 on breakfast - you might only spend $5. But you might decide that day to spend $20 on a table service lunch.
To get a better idea of the cost of meals, you can go to
www.allearsnet.com and browse the dining information there. They keep a pretty up to date menu from each of the restaurants, and the prices are listed for each.
Another way to easily budget for your meals is to consider purchasing one of the Disney Dining Plans. You can get the information on the different plans available by going
