How soon before our trip should I let our resort know this is our 30th wedding anniversary trip? We will also be celebrating my husband and autistic son's birthday.

    Hi there, Jaynee!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for bringing us your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm thrilled to hear you're planning to celebrate two very special occasions at The Most Magical Place on Earth soon! Jaynee, there's nothing like celebrating life's biggest milestones at the Walt Disney World Resort. I'm here to help you plan a super special celebration!

It sounds like your family will be staying at one of the fabulous Disney Resort hotels. The countdown is on! Jaynee, you are welcome to denote your celebration on your Resort hotel reservation at any time after booking. This can be done either on the Walt Disney World Resort website using the "Chat Now" function, via the My Disney Experience mobile app's "Chat With Us" feature, or by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to make note of your anniversary and birthday celebrations on your reservation! While "pixie dust" is never guaranteed, it's always nice when Cast Members and fellow Guests acknowledge your special celebration.

Jaynee, be sure to pick up complimentary celebration buttons from any Guest Relations location throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. These buttons are a unique way to commemorate your milestones during a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth and can be beautifully customized for a small fee at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe inside Magic Kingdom Park or Disney's Days of Christmas at Disney Springs!

If you have table-service dining reservations during your visit, be sure to denote your celebration when you check in for your dining experience. Sometimes, this can be done using mobile dine check-in at participating locations. During the check-in process, you may be able to notify the restaurant that you're celebrating a special occasion. Jaynee, while it's not guaranteed, my family has been surprised with celebratory birthday desserts during past visits when we've denoted our celebrations using mobile dine check-in! Did you know that select restaurants also offer Mickey Mouse celebration cakes for pre-order? Guests have the option of adding celebration cakes to their dining reservations at participating locations either at the time of booking or in person at least four days before their reservation. A limited number of same-day cakes are also available on occasion. If you know you'll be celebrating your son's birthday during a particular meal, I encourage you to consider pre-ordering a cake for the occasion!

Jaynee, I hope this information helps you to plan an unforgettable celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort. I'm wishing you and your Happily Ever After a very special anniversary celebration, and your son a magical and memorable birthday trip! If you have any additional planning questions, please stop back by planDisney again anytime! We're here to help you make treasured memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

    Enchantment awaits,

    Lauren
