¡Bienvenida al
Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ana Rosa! Thank you for bringing us your question! How great it is to hear you will be visiting
Walt Disney World so soon! I imagine you must all be super excited counting down until the moment for leaving for the airport arrives!
Restaurants and
dining locations in general at Walt Disney World are very accommodating! You have nothing to worry about as you will find a variety of options to choose from. As soon as you get to your dining venue, be sure to mention your concern to the waiter or waitress assisting you for them to communicate it to the chef. You may also request to have the chef speak directly with the member of your party for her to explain her needs. When making an advanced dining reservation on the
My Disney Experience app or by phone (+ 1 (407) 939-3463 - calls made from outside the U.S. may incur in extra fees), remember to add a note indicating that a member of your party will need a
special diet for diabetic patients. You could also write them an email in advance at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
I suggest your friend bring a few snacks to have in her purse should her sugar levels need adjustment. Remember that if she needs a place to rest, she may visit the Centro de
Primeros Auxilios to rest a bit. If her condition is severe, she may take advantage of the Disability Access Service program (DAS) specially designed for those guests who cannot wait in conventional queues. If your friend qualifies for the program (eligibility can be determined at Guest Relations in any of the theme parks), she will be given a return time for a ride she wants to go on for her to come back to later. You may click on
this link to read all of the details about it.
Ana Rosa, I wish you and everyone in your party a fantastic vacation! Please do not hesitate to come see us again as you plan your vacation.
¡Nos vemos muy pronto!
~Desiree
