How soon do l need to register my tickets at disneyworld

Hi there, Emma, and welcome to planDisney!

The magic is calling you to Disney World and it's difficult to ignore. From walking down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom to saving the galaxy on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, there are so many thrills that await you, Emma.

You'll absolutely need to link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account in order to tap into the magic (and to do many other things!). First, did you buy your theme park tickets directly through Disney World's website? Hakuna Matata! If so, your tickets are already linked in your "My Plans and Tickets" section of the My Disney Experience account.

If your tickets are, in fact, nowhere to be found in your account, then let's get into how to link them. The quickest way to link them is to head over to the Link webpage on the Disney World website. Click on the Tickets icon and type in your ticket's ID Number. Continue to type the tickets' IDs in until all of them are in your account. As you can see, you can also link hotel reservations and MagicBands+ using the Linking Tool. It's a super handy page!

AN EXTRA GEM: Rather link your tickets on your phone? I highly recommend using the My Disney Experience app. Go to the three horizontal lines in the lower-right corner and select "My Tickets and Passes." Click the plus sign to add your ticket information.

How soon should you link your tickets? Well, you can absolutely book advance dining reservations and Enchanting Extras that are inside of theme parks before your tickets are linked; however, by the time of your visit, you must have a linked valid admission. I would say that if you want to be ready to book those extras when the 60-day reservation window opens, just go ahead and have your tickets linked so you don't have to do it later.

Another reason to link sooner than later is because when you get to your Lightning Lane booking window, you can make the purchase(s) needed to get that faster queue access. Also, if your tickets are not for specific dates, you'll want to make park reservations before they reach capacity. Overall, because of booking Lightning Lane passes and avoiding at-capacity blocks, the latest I would link your tickets would be around 1-2 weeks before your planned trip.

Emma, I hope that this answer helps. Please don't be a stranger if you have additional Disney vacation planning questions. You can always ask us here at planDisney. Let the countdown begin!

    Magic always,
